The BEST Homemade Tomato Salsa

INGREDIENTS 
 
  • 4 ripe tomatoes 
  • ¼- ½ cup of Bonafide Provisions Vegetable Broth 
  • 1 can fire roasted tomatoes 
  • 1 can green chilis 
  • ½ onion 
  • Green onion 
  • Cilantro 
  • Lime 
  • Jalapeno 
  • Salt, pepper, garlic 
  • Chili powder 
 
INSTRUCTIONS 
 
  1. Cut tomatoes into wedges, place on baking sheet, season with salt, pepper, garlic and drizzle olive oil on top. Then place into oven on broil and cook till the sugars start to caramelize and tomatoes start to get roasted. Once ready add tomatoes to a food processor. 
  2. Dice your onions and jalapenos. Cut the ends off the green onion and slice starting from the white end. Chop your cilantro and add to a food processor. 
  3. Add about ½ cup of the roasted tomatoes and about 1-2 tablespoons of green chilis and the juice of 1 lime. Season with salt, pepper, garlic and chili powder to taste. 
  4. Use the pulse setting on the food processor to blend it all together. Enjoy! 
  5. Note: If you don’t want it too spicy, take the white parts out of the jalapeño when prepping.
