Cuban Picadillo

Have ground beef but sick of burgers? Change up the routine with this super simple dish using our NEW, PANTRY-FRIENDLY BONE BROTH that not only pack whole-food collagen protein but are so delicious you’ll want to sip them all on their own.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • ½ cup Bonafide Provisions Beef Bone Broth (or Vegetable Broth)
  • 1 large onion peeled and diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1-2 serrano peppers seeded and chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt
  • 15 ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup pimento stuffed green olives drained and sliced
  • ¾ cup raisins

INSTRUCTIONS

Set a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the oil, chopped onions, garlic and serrano peppers. Saute for 3-5 minutes to soften.

Add in the ground beef, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, and salt. Brown the beef, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon, 5-8 minutes. (I added a little chipotle powder as well)

Once the meat is cooked, add in the tomato sauce, Bonafide Provisions Vegetable Broth, olives, and raisins. Simmer and stir another 5-7 minutes.

Enjoy over rice, as taco filling, or on its own!

“I started drinking bone broth a few years back when I was desperate to get my health back in order. It’s now a staple in our home… On the weeks where I am feeling a little less inclined to make my own, I really enjoy @bonafideprovisions.”
